Adequate? You Betcha!!!

You would think by the time a woman was 51  (OK - almost 52!) she would no longer deal with feelings of inadequacy!  Well . . .think again!  It is a battle I wage many days.  It was actually during a ladies Bible Study that God began to show me that my feelings of inadequacy were really rooted in pride.  EXAMPLES:  "  I am not as good at _____________ as so and so.  I really should be a better ____________.  I really can't do ________ well.  Why do I even try to do _______ - I can't (like blogging!!!!)" Lord - help me learn it is not ABOUT ME!  Here's some encouragement for my inadequate attitudes:

"Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our Sufficiency is of God".   2 Corinthians 3:5

"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."  2 Corinthians 9:8

OK!  Ready to face the day - I don't have to be ADEQUATE - I just have to be HIS!

I am right there with you in the feelings of inadequacy. I've struggled with it most of my life. I even taught a group of ladies how to be confident in themselves, all the while not having too much confidence myself.

P.S. - Your Fall Friendship package will be in the mail on Monday, I PROMISE. I've been a bad Fall friend so I am so very sorry!

No Worries! Anticipation is more than half the fun . . .PLUS there is so much fall left . . . and I have barely put out any autumn things . . .! How 'bout this for ABOVE ADEQUATE? "unto Him Who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us." Eph 3:20

It's funny for me to read about you feeling inadequate when YOU are who I look up to! I find myself saying "I hope to be as Godly as Bobbi one day" or I wish I could be more like you! You are one of my role models for who I would like to be one day. I hope this comment encourages you! I love you! :)

Encourages and scares me! Good reminder that each of us are 'role models' whether we feel 'adequate' or not!
