The 'same old' story

Last night we had church at my house.  We have begun studying the gospel of Luke several weeks ago, and last night we were beginning Luke 2.  It was really so great as we read the 'same old' story around.  Most of us can probably quote Luke 2 - - but to read it together and then to pull it apart a little bit more.  Really a great Bible Study. . .

"...And she brought forth her first born son and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for Him in the inn."

As I was cleaning up after folks left, I kept humming this old Christmas song:

"No room, only a manger of hay.

No room, here in His world turned away.

No room, He is a stranger today.

No room, no room!"

In the busy, busy days of January, may we all have ROOM for the One Who came to this world as a man to be our Redeemer and Friend.
